Tom Hillen is an American journalist working for WOOD as a morning traffic anchor on News 8 Daybreak weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Since October 2023, he has co-hosted the 11 a.m. lifestyle show, eightWest, and on weekdays at 3 p.m. on ABC 4. He joined the station in July 2010 as an editor and photojournalist for Weekend Daybreak and has served the station for more than a decade.

Even though he is a CMU graduate, he is an ardent fan of Michigan State and has the chance to broadcast the 2013 Big Ten Football Championship, the Detroit Tigers in the World Series, and the Spartans in the NCAA basketball tournament. He also broadcasted from Florida when Tropical Storm Debby hit.
