Tyler Moore Biography
Tyler Moore is an American meteorologist working for WTMJ as a meteorologist on weekday mornings from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. since joining the station in December 2023. Previously, he worked for WTSP in Tampa, Florida, as a weekend meteorologist.
Tyler Moore Education
Moore joined the University of North Carolina Asheville in 2014 when he finished his high school studies at Brookfield Central High School. In 2018, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Atmospheric Science with a concentration in broadcasting.
While in college, he served as a Division 1 NCAA men’s soccer player and held internships at WKRN in Nashville and CNN in Atlanta. In addition, he did some undergraduate research with his professors. In this role, he hiked to distant rain gauge networks in the mountains of North Carolina to retrieve rainfall data, launched weather balloons during winter weather occasions, and observed tree fall patterns after tornadoes in the Southeast.

Moore works for WTMJ as a meteorologist on weekday mornings from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. His passion for meteorology started in Milwaukee. Since he was in 1st grade, he knew he wanted to be a meteorologist and grew up watching WTMJ because of its history of great meteorologists.
Previously, he worked for WTSP in Tampa, Florida, as a weekend meteorologist. There, he broadcasted several tropical systems including Hurricane Ian and Nicole in 2022. Before that, he served 5NEWS in Fayetteville, Arkansas as a weekday morning meteorologist. There, he broadcasted multiple tornadoes that moved in from Oklahoma and Kansas during the overnight and early morning hours.
His meteorology career started when he worked for WJFW in Rhinelander as a weekday morning meteorologist. He has forecasted everything including Arkansas tornadoes, Wisconsin blizzards, and tropical weather in Florida.
