A great person and an architect of a magnificent golden at Atlético has left us. The league title and Copa del Rey that he won with us will remain in our memory forever. It was a privilege to share the game of football with him and our thoughts are with his family.” Enrique said via a press release.

Real Madrid also released a statement expressing “its sincerest condolences to his family and friends. These condolences also go out to the whole Madridista family and the clubs he represented throughout his sporting career as both a player and coach.” Barcelona tweeted: “Radomir Antic, who managed FC Barcelona in 2003, passed away today. The Barça family mourns the loss of a man who was deeply beloved in the world of football. Rest in Peace.”
