Victor Jorges is an American reporter working for WPTV News as a reporter since joining the station in March 2023. Earlier, he worked at WTVJ, the NBC affiliate in Miami where he served as a reporter and multimedia journalist.

Upon finishing high school, Victor attended Florida International University in 2016 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. He also went abroad where he received a degree in Journalism from Universidad CEU San Pablo. Before working in West Palm Beach, Florida, he served as a reporter and multimedia journalist at WTVJ, the NBC affiliate in Miami. During his tenure at WTVJ, he reported community stories such as health topics, culture, and crime which occurred in both Spanish and English.
Victor previously spent one year in Lafayette, where he worked at KATC TV as a fill-in anchor and multimedia journalist. He also covered the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and the Louisiana Legislative session in 2021. Prior to working at KATC TV, Jorges served as a news writer at WSVN-TV 7News in Miami, Fort Lauderdale. While there, he hosted a digital series named “South Florida Today” which showcased trending stories of the day.
Jorges started his career as a reporter at PantherNow in Miami, Fort Lauderdale. Later on, he secured a position as an assistant news director before later being promoted to news director in August 2019. In addition to working at PantherNow, Victor also worked at South Florida Media Network as a reporter. There, he covered a wide range of news including the shutdown of small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic and the global economy effect after coronavirus.
Before that, Jorges was hired at CNN where he started as an intern before later serving as a freelance associate producer. Earlier, he spent five months in Miami where he served as an intern at Discovery Channel. On top of this, he is also involved in various community events where he gives back to the community.
