Walt Grayson is an American anchor, reporter, and weatherman working at WJTV News Channel 12 in Jackson, Mississippi as a weatherman, news anchor, and feature reporter. Previously, he worked for WLBT-TV for almost 3 decades.

Grayson chose to get a degree in bible with an optional background in history at Mississippi College, a course that he considered taking when he was still thinking about becoming a preacher. He hosts and produces for the Mississippi Public Broadcasting, a show entitled “Mississippi Roads,” which promotes the culture and pride of the state of Mississippi. He is also the author of four books that chronicle his MS road trips, and he continues to educate people as a monthly columnist for EMC’s newspaper, the Mississippi Auto. As an author, he has penned four books about his travels in Mississippi and regularly shares his insights through a monthly column for the Electric Coops of Mississippi’s newspaper.

Grayson among many achievements has recently been honored as a member of the Mississippi Broadcasters Hall of Fame, this is due to his over thirty-five years’ dedication to making stories come alive and also to other adventures discovered in the Magnolia State.
