Reese joined Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond in 2015 after finishing his studies at James Island Charter High School. In 2017, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science.
During his time in college, Reese interned at WWBT/NBC12 Raycom Media. There, he helped morning reporters with their duties when needed, as well as a photographer with camera equipment, and shadowed a production assistant during the morning newscast, NBC 12 Today. He was then promoted to news content specialist. In this role, he edited more than 10 shows every week for newscasts in Edius for NBC 12.
