Warren Sears Biography

Warren Sears is an American meteorologist working for KCTV/KSMO in Kansas City, Missouri as a meteorologist. He joined the station in December 2022. He is known for having worked for KSN as a weekend morning meteorologist from 6 am to 8 am. He joined KSN from June 2021 to January 2023. Before joining KSN, he worked for WXOW as a meteorologist.  

Kansas is his native home and he was always interested in weather from a young age after encountering thunderstorms. In 2015, he joined the University of Kansas where he graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Science. Prior to joining KSN, he worked for a number of years at WXOW News 19 in La Crosse, Wisconsin and while he was there, he covered the extremes of the Upper Midwest. He began his forecasting career in the most complex areas in the country where he covered extreme bitter cold, tornadoes, and blizzards. During his downtime, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, biking, skiing, and eating at local restaurants.
