Wendy Ryan is an American journalist working for WFTS as an anchor of the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts. She joined the station in April 2003 and has served the station for more than 2 decades. Previously, she worked for WICS as the main anchor and medical reporter.

Also, she broadcasted the 2008 Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Championship, the 2004 Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, and the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Further, she provided live broadcasts multiple of the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Throughout her career, she has spent nearly a decade in Los Angeles. She worked for KWHY as an anchor and reporter where she broadcasted the financial markets and interviewed top CEO’s from around the nation.

Next, she moved to Miami to debut her own national show with NFN, Net Financial News. Additionally, she has worked for a state cable network that concentrated on international issues and broadcasted the Middle East peace process.

The Cleveland native was depicted in ‘Broadcasting and Cable Magazine’ following her personal story with MRSA that was documented and went viral on Facebook, as it was happening. Also, her career has been described in Creative Loafing Magazine and Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine.
