With the final leg requiring a 4,000 m decent to sea level, which requires the driver to hit a dead man’s button every few seconds to prove he’s still conscious and forces Zay to the floor with an oxygen mask. Harding got himself a chance to host Globe Trekker gigs that no one else what to do due to his daring and outgoing personality. Although he is afraid of heights, he is not one to shy away from trying new things.

His first adventure travel was Treks in a Wild World, another Pilot Productions show. During the shooting, Zay got to hike in Mexico’s Copper Canyon with Tarahumara Indian guides on steep, slippery trails, climbed Seattle’s snow-capped Mount Whitley; lived with the Korowai ‘Tree People’ in the extremely remote West Papuan region of Irian Jaya; and visited the Dani and Lani tribes in Indonesia’s Wamena Valley.

This led to another pilot show called Tribal Challenge. During Tribal Challenge, Zay and his fellow co-host lived with Ethiopia’s Surma tribe for ten days. They got to share huts with livestock and drank cow blood between sessions of herding, fishing, farming, and stick fighting.

He became a host for Globe Trekker and since then he has been to Vietnam, to the hidden underground caves of Laos, gone snow-trekking and bungee jumping in Switzerland, kayaked and skied in Austria, tried biking down ski-slopes, sailing, canoeing, rafting, and riding with cowboys in Canada and retraced the communist Red Trail in Southeast China. You could call being a Globe Trekker host a dream job for Harding.
