Jasmine Lomax is an American meteorologist for Fox 45 – WBFF as a weekday morning Hometown Hot Spot reporter and a Friday and Saturday evening meteorologist. She joined the Fox 45 team in August 2021, after previously working at Fox44.
Maryland is her native home and in 2014, Lomax joined Penn State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism in 2018. Prior to relocating to Baltimore, she worked in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at WGMB and WVLA and while she was there, she covered a wide range of severe weather.
She covered the Easter tornado outbreak in 2020, which wreaked havoc across southern Mississippi and northern Louisiana. In addition, she also covered the record-breaking hurricane season in Louisiana after five storms made landfall in the area and three of those storms were hurricanes. She covered the ice storm that left many Louisianians without power in February 2021.
Before working in Baton Rouge, she interned with EarthShare, which is an environmental federation based in Bethesda. During her internship, she visited a number of government agencies where she spoke about climate change and what EarthShare does to assist the environment. During her free time, she enjoys exploring the many food options across Maryland and spending time with her 3.5-pound teacup Yorkie, Caramel.
