Before joining FOX 2, she served KMOV as a morning anchor and reporter. She also worked for KRCG in Jefferson City as a weekday anchor and reporter.
During her career, Ellisor has received many honors for her journalism work, including a first place honor for spot news coverage from the Kansas City Press Club and Outstanding News Series Awards from the Missouri Broadcaster’s Association. Further, she has received five Emmys for community service, news, and best morning newscast.
Besides her broadcasting work, Ellisor gives a lot of her spare time to charities. She primarily concentrates on assisting children born with disabilities. In this capacity, she is active with the the Children’s Miracle Network and St. Louis Learning Disabilities. She served the March of Dimes on its Board of Directors and the Communications Committee.
