Cydney Long Biography
Cydney Long is an American journalist working for NBC10 Philadelphia as a reporter. She joined the station in March 2011 and has served the station for more than a decade. Before NBC10, she worked for KYW as a New Jersey correspondent and general assignment reporter from 2001 to 2011.

Long attended the University of South Florida after completing her high school education. When she finished her studies, she became a graduate and attained a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Mass Communications.

Long broadcasted southern New Jersey, and co-anchored weekday and weekend morning newscasts from 2004 to 2006. Also, she frequently worked as a substitute anchor. She received a Mid-Atlantic Emmy for breaking news broadcast of the fatal Atlantic City Tropicana Casino garage collapse in 2003.
For exposing a grocery store surveillance video of a woman with her supposed killer before the police and prosecutor, she received recognition from the Mercer County prosecutor. Her journalism career started when she worked for WTSP in Tampa in 1994 as a weekend evening news producer until 1997.
Long changed to reporting after her producing stint at WTSP and then worked with Central Florida News 13 in Orlando and Bay News 9 in Tampa. Additionally, she anchored and reported the news and broadcasted several hurricanes along both Florida coasts. From 1999 to 20001, she worked for K-EYE in Austin as an investigative reporter.
During her time there, she investigated the infamous Austin cold case dubbed ‘the yogurt shop murders’ and reported about the Texas A&M University lethal bonfire collapse and other stories. When not working she loves summers at the shore. Also, she loves spending time with her husband and kids on their blueberry farm in South Jersey.
