Andraya’s academic period started in the year 2012 when she enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she was able to complete her Bachelor’s degree in communication studies in 2015 after 3-years of academic study. Even though she did not play her senior year because of injuries she was ranked No. 21 by ESPN coming to college as one of the most anticipated players. This passion for playing games majorly kept her playing till she had to retire from the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers at the end of her redshirt junior season in 2015-16 due to injury.
In the year 2016, she became part of The Vol for Life where she was assigned to broadcast Tennessee basketball games for ESP3 online. She was subsequently offered a seasonal contract and she went through LaChina Robinson’s Rising Media Stars media training for women. In addition to basketball, Carter was versatile and even did commentary on the NBA G League as an analyst and an Orange Theory Fitness instructor.
In 2023, Carter made history becoming the first woman to be a host at the NBA Draft for ESPN. Together with Jay Bilas and JJ Redick, as well as show host Malika Andrews, she became one of the reputable basketball analysts.
