Angie Hendershot is an American journalist working for WJRT as an anchor of ABC12 News at Five, Six, and Eleven. She joined the station as a general assignment reporter and has worked for the station for over 2 and a half decades.

Hendershot joined Central Michigan University when she finished her education at Davison High School. She later graduated with double major degrees in Political Sciences and Broadcasting. She then attained a Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Hendershot won her first national Edward R. Murrow Award for her report on Baby Court, a program in Genesee County fashioned to reconcile broken families. The series also won her two Emmys, two Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, the Wade H. McCree Jr. Advancement Of Justice Award, and the American Judicature Society’s Toni House Journalism Award.

In 2019, the National Association of Broadcasters Service granted her a Community Award for co-founding the Flint Diaper Bank, which gives over a million diapers yearly to the community. For her community service work, she was an inductee of the Genesee Regional Women’s Hall of Fame.
Hendershot serves on the board of directors of Voices for Children, an organization that tries to prevent child abuse and assist survivors become children again. Additionally, she is a board member of the Shelter of Flint.
