Matt Barbour is an American journalist working for WJRT as an anchor of ABC12 News This Morning and host of ‘Good Morning Mid-Michigan’ at 9 a.m. since joining the station in April 2019. Previously, he worked as a morning news anchor at WPDE TV 15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for 3 years.

After working in Evansville, Barbour relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee where he was a weekend evening anchor for WRCB. There, the Tennessee Associated Press named him “Best TV Reporter.” His parents say that he was born with a natural curiosity and always liked “being in the know” (he’s nosey).
