Aaron Drawhorn is an American Emmy Award-Winning News Anchor working at KFDM where he anchors 6 News at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. on weeknights alongside Tiffany Murphy. He joined the station in February 2021.

Drawhorn anchors 6 News at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. for KFDM. He is a three-time Emmy Award-winning anchor who has anchored and reported at KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi, KBTX-TV in Bryan/College Station, KRQE-TV in Albuquerque, and KLAS-TV in Las Vegas.
Working at a CBS/Fox duopoly like KFDM/Fox 4 in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe market for three years, Aaron increased viewership anchoring his nightly Fox New Mexico newscasts and was most proud of an investigative report on declassified CIA documents involving New Mexico. His feature pieces on anything related to the critically acclaimed TV show “Breaking Bad” went viral, however.
Aaron previously worked as a weekend anchor at KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi and was the first broadcaster to cover Vice President Dick Cheney’s accidental shooting of a friend during a hunting trip at the historic Armstrong Ranch, even before the White House press corps. Aaron also came to Beaumont to report on the aftermath of Hurricane Rita in 2005, and he broadcast live from Ford Park to his loyal Corpus Christi viewers.
From 2000 to 2003, Aaron’s beat at KBTX-TV in Bryan included Montgomery and Walker counties, where he covered the criminal justice system in Huntsville and served as an official witness to two executions. Aaron also hosted live breaking news coverage of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in 2003. Aaron was a public radio foreign correspondent based in London in 1999. He also hosted public affairs shows on radio and television in San Antonio.
Drawhorn has interviewed a number of notable foreign dignitaries, including former British Prime Minister John Major, former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres, and former South African President F.W. de Klerk. Drawhorn also interned at CNN International’s business news division in London, KENS-TV in San Antonio, and freelanced for KTNV-TV in Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
