Aaron Wright Biography
Aaron Wright is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Anchor/Reporter/Multimedia Journalist working for KIRO 7 News in Seattle, Washington where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor. He has been working with the station since January 2022.
Aaron Wright Education
Wright is a proud graduate of Hampton University where he studied between 2005 and 2009. There, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. While there, he was participating in the Greer Dawson Wilson Student Leadership Program, in 2008, and was a member of Scripps Howard Center for Broadcasting Excellence, in 2009.

Wright works with KIRO 7 News where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor. He states that he believes journalism is a service and its best uplifts, the community exposes corruption, and helps people in need. He kick-started his journalism career working with WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois where he was serving the station as a photographer, an anchor, and a reporter.
Later on, he went on to join WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee serving the station as an anchor and reporter. When he was in Knoxville, he was able to learn the importance of community connection and storytelling in news reporting. There he covered everything from the Gatlinburg Wildfires to the Nashville Predators Stanley Cup appearance.
He then went on to join KENS 5 News in San Antonio, Texas where he was serving the station as an investigative reporter and anchored the station’s 5, 6, and 10 PM newscasts. There, he covered stories such as the NCAA Final Four and former state senator Carlos Uresti’s fraud trial. He also worked on filing investigative reports on government spending and exposing scammers working to hurt hard-working San Antonians.
Aaron has a deep love for college football, seafood, and photography. When not at work you can find him hiking … unless there’s a game on. Away from work, he is a deep lover of college football, photography, and seafood. Asides from this, he also enjoys hiking.

Wright posted a photo of his brother, Justin, on his Instagram Account on the 19th of September 2022 and he stated that he had unfortunately passed away.
