Adam Atchison is an American Anchor working with KKTV 11 News in Southern Colorado, the United States where he serves the station as an Evening News Anchor. Prior to KKTV, he was working with KRQE-TV in Albuquerque, NM where he worked for the station for about three years. While there, he was covering news around the Land of Enchantment and the annual Balloon Fiesta.

He states that both of his kids were born in New Mexico and that he has spent seven years working as a morning anchor at KOAA in Colorado Springs, CO. Asides from that, he gained valuable experience covering news throughout the Pikes Peak region. This includes two major wildfires which destroyed hundreds of homes.
Atchison also worked in Boise, Idaho where he was serving the station as a reporter/anchor covering state politics. He was also the lead reporter on numerous key developments in the Idaho legislature and changes in executive government. This includes the appointment of then-Governor Dirk Kempthorne to Secretary of the Interior under the Bush administration. Asides from this, he is a musician at heart. Away from work, he is actively involved in his church and plays keys and piano. Asides from that he also plays volleyball and loves working out and running.
In his career, he has been privileged to receive a number o awards. Among these awards includes an Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Additionally, he has also received Four Edward R. Murrow awards from RTNDA and has been named “Best of the Springs” TV Morning Anchor – 2020.
