Richie Cozzolino (born Riccardo Cozzolino) is an American Anchor/Reporter serving as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at CBS News Colorado(KCNC-TV) since June 2022. Prior to this, he was working for KKTV 11 News between September 2019 and May 2022 as a Sports Anchor and Reporter.

Cozzolino works for CBS Colorado as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. Previously, he also worked for KREX 5 News serving the station as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. He joined KREX 5 in January 2018 and left the station in August 2019. He grew up in the metro Detroit area, attending high school at the University of Detroit Jesuit and college at Michigan State University. After receiving his degree in journalism at MSU, Richie went on to work as a news producer at both WILX-TV in Lansing, MI, and WOOD-TV8 in Grand Rapids.
After getting experience behind the camera, Richie decided the sports world is a bit more fun. In his time at KREX 5, he’s covered the JUCO World Series, X Games Aspen, Monday Night Football, and (of course), the crazy world of high school football on the Western Slope.
Richie is a diehard Michigan State football and basketball fan and will chat for hours about how his Detroit sports teams have been a major disappointment in the last decade. Richie loves hiking on the Western Slope but is just as happy enjoying a Grand Junction Rockies game on his day off.
After college, Richie made stops at WILX-TV in Lansing, MI, and WOOD-TV8 in Grand Rapids, MI as a news producer before he accepted a full-time sports gig. He arrived in Colorado in January 2018 on the Western Slope, working at KREX in Grand Junction before moving to the Springs.
In his 5 years of broadcasting, Richie has covered every big event on the Colorado sports calendar, including Air Force football’s 2019 Cheez-It Bowl win, the 2020 NHL Stadium Series at Falcon Stadium, X Games Aspen, the JUCO World Series, and so much more.
