Goebel joined Florida State University in August 2020 after finishing her education at Fremont High School. In May 2026, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies, with a minor in Astrophysics.
Goebel spent first year in college abroad in London, England, and Panama City, Panamá, before moving to Tallahassee, Florida. She also interned with KETV in the summer of 2025, quickly falling in love with the station.
