Aisha Howard is an American Anchor/Reporter working with 11Alive News based in Tegna Atlanta, Georgia where she serves the station as a Weeknights News anchor for the 11 PM News. She enrolled in a degree course at Michigan State University. She is now a Michigan State University graduate with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Howard works with 11Alive News where she serves the station as a Weeknights News anchor. After her graduation from the University, the proud Spartan landed her first news job behind the scenes as an assignment editor in Atlanta. Later on, after learning the ins and outs of the business in a fast-paced city where news never stops Aisha got her to start in front of the camera at WCTI NewsChannel 12 in New Bern, North Carolina.

She later on quickly worked her way up from weekend reporter to weekend anchor. Later on, after nearly three years of connecting to the community and delivering news to the people of Eastern North Carolina. She states that it was time to return home to the place where she fell in love with the news.

Being a Flint, Michigan native, she served as a morning and noon anchor with WNEM-TV5 in Mid-Michigan alongside the on-air talent. She was raised growing up watching her grandmothers who never missed the nightly news. Having a fierce determination for storytelling, she elevated her journalism career with her next role as a weekend anchor with FOX59 in Indianapolis.

Asides from this, she has also provided the weeknight anchor of the station’s 11 PM newscast, NewsPoint at 11 which reached the number 1 spot with Aisha as the solo anchor of the show. When he was in Indiana, she covered entertainment news nationally and internationally and was nominated for her first Emmy award and the 2016 presidential election.

She is proud of this full-circle moment that has brought her back to Atlanta to join the 11Alive news team. Howard can be caught around town taking in the arts and live music scene. Aisha is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Asides from this, her passions include uplifting teen girls, advocating for domestic violence survivors, and volunteering.
