Aleah Hordges is an American news anchor, multimedia journalist, and reporter working with the Local 12 News team at WKRC-TV, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She joined the station’s morning show in July 2022.

Hordges attended Sandy Creek High School from 2005 to 2008, where she graduated with a diploma. There she took part in track & field activities and the cross-country program. She then joined Savannah State University from 2009 to 2013, graduating with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Mass Communications & English Minor. There she took part in track and field and cross country programs and also was in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.m student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC), Tigers Roar School Newspaper, and WSSU-Channel 96.
Aleah Hordges Career
Hordges began her career as a digital host and writer for FAME Magazine in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked for one year and eleven months from May 2013 to March 2015, writing entertainment, lifestyle, and political feature stories and hosting and producing the YouTube show ”Entertainment Exposed.” Aleah then joined TV6 & FOX UP in Marquette, Michigan in March 2015 as a bureau reporter, multimedia journalist, and anchor. She shot, wrote, and edited stories as a Houghton/Hancock bureau reporter until March 2017.
In April 2017, she joined WTKR News 3, in Norfolk, Virginia, as a reporter and multimedia journalist. There she shot, wrote, and edited news stories for assigned newscasts in Coastal Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina for one year and 11 months until February 2019. She then joined WISH-TV, in Indianapolis, Indiana, in June 2019 as a reporter, multimedia journalist, and anchor. At the station, she shot, wrote, and edited stories for assigned newscasts in Central Indiana, and was also a fill-in anchor for assigned newscasts until June 2022.
In July 2022, she joined WKRC-TV, in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a full-time anchor for Local 12 News. She co-anchors Good Morning Cincinnati on WKRC Local 12 (CBS) and on WSTR Star64 from 4:30-10 AM. She earned the Michigan Association of Broadcasters’s First Place Award in January 2016, presented by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters associated with TV6 & FOX UP. In January 2019, she earned an Emmy Nomination associated with WKTR News 3, issued by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter. Hordges is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
