Alecia Reid is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Reporter/Correspondent working for CBS New York in New York City Metropolitan Area where she serves the station as a Correspondent. She has been working with the station since July 2022.

Reid works with CBS New York where she serves the station as a Correspondent. Asides from this, she is also a social justice and sustainability advocate with a great passion for giving a voice to people who may not otherwise be able to tell their stories. Prior to joining the CBS2 New York/WCBS-TV team, she was working with CBS 3 KYW-TV in Philadelphia, PA where she was serving the station as a Reporter / Fill-in Anchor. There, she worked between January 2020 and July 2022.
Previously, she also worked with Del York Creative Academy in Lagos, Nigeria as a Journalism Course Instructor. There, she worked between May 2019 and June 2019. She also worked for KRON-TV in San Francisco Bay Area where she was serving the station as a Reporter/Fill-In Anchor. There, she worked between August 2012 and January 2019. Asides from this, she has also worked with News 12 Brooklyn where she was serving the station as a Reporter. There, she worked between August 2007 and August 2012.
Reid is a proud native of the Bronx. The year 2019 saw him get the opportunity to share her craft, proudly teaching journalism at Del York Creative Academy in Lagos, Nigeria. She is passionate about clean water and sanitation(WASH), poverty, and the environment. Reid is studying Global Development Practice at the Harvard Extension School. Away from work, she can be found volunteering with a number of charitable organizations. Among her favorites include Habitat for Humanity & Global Village and Big Brother Big Sister.
Reid is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and MIKA Girls Basketball. There, he was helping pave the way for student-athletes in order to become successful on and off the court. Asides from volunteering, she enjoys traveling and enjoying delicious food.
