Alex Sapp is an American journalist working for WDIO-TV as a weekend anchor and a reporter during the week since joining the station in the summer of 2024. He joined the station after graduating from college; therefore, marking the start of his career.

Sapp joined Anoka Technical College in August 2019 after finishing his high school education. In May 2020, he graduated with a Diploma of Education in Welding Technology. In August of that year, he joined Anoka Ramsey Community College, where he earned his Associate of Arts degree in Mass Communication in May 2022.
Sapp joined Minnesota State Moorhead in August 2022, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. There, he spent 2 seasons as an anchor on their award-winning news program Campus News with a minor in Still Photojournalism.
