Alexis Bellamy Biography
Alexis Bellamy is an American journalist working for WRIC as a reporter and multimedia journalist since joining the station in October 2022. Previously, she worked for KNOE/ KAQY in Monroe, Louisiana, as an evening anchor and producer for two and a half years.
Alexis Bellamy Education
Bellamy joined Old Dominion University when she finished her high school education. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. She kickstarted her broadcast journalism career in college at the school’s student-run television news program, ODU-TV News. Further, she was involved with many media and journalism organizations. Additionally, she interned at the NBC affiliate WAVY 10 in Norfolk Virginia.

Bellamy works for WRIC as a reporter and multimedia journalist. She kickstarted her broadcast journalism career in college at Old Dominion University’s student-run television news program, ODU-TV News. After graduating college, she began her professional career in Elmira, New York, as a weekend anchor, producer, and weekday reporter at WETM 18 News.
Following her time in Elmira, Bellamy moved to Monroe, Louisiana, where she served KNOE/ KAQY as an evening anchor and producer for two and a half years. While in Monroe, she launched a limited series highlighting high-profile cold cases in the region called “ArkLamiss Unsolved.” She serves as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Originally from the Tidewater area, Bellamy has spent most of her years in Northern Virginia and is excited to be back in the region. She hopes to explore Richmond and become a part of the “RVA” community and tell its stories
