Alison Posey Biography
Alison Posey is an American journalist currently working as the sports director at WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, Florida. She joined the station in June 2015.
Alison Posey Education
She bleeds Garnet, Gold, Orange, and Blue in addition to other colors. Alison was an athlete in high school, playing basketball and softball, and she earned a softball scholarship to St. Johns River Community College after graduation. She played second base for two years, earning her AA and Academic All-American honors. She then went on to the University of Florida, where she played for the UF Club Softball team. Alison and the team won the NCSA World Series in 2010.

For Alison, covering sports is more than a job: it’s a passion. Alison understands what it takes to be an athlete as a former collegiate athlete, and her drive and dedication show in the way she does her work.
Alison pays the same attention to any athlete, big or small, from collegiate National Champions to High School State Champions to the smallest of athletes winning baseball World Series. Alison is thrilled to be making history, and even more thrilled to be doing so at WTXL, where she is the state’s first female sports director. She is thrilled to be covering Florida State athletics and can’t wait to return to her hometown of Tallahassee. In her spare time, Alison can be found perfecting her slow pitch swing, attempting to play golf, or relaxing on the beach.
