Alison Posey is an American Director working with WTXL-TV located in Tallahassee, Florida where he serves the station as a Sports Director. He has been working with the station since the month of June 2015.

Posey works with WTXL-TV where he serves the station as a Sports Director. He was born in Tallahassee to FSU alums and raised in Gainesville under the shadow of the University of Florida. She states that she bleeds both Garnet and Gold, as well as Orange and Blue. She was raised as an athlete, playing basketball and softball in high school. Posey earned a softball scholarship from St. Johns River Community out of high school. There, she was also suited up at the second base for two years earning her AA and earning Academic All-American status.
Later on, she continued her education and joined the University of Florida where she was playing for UF’s Club Softball team. Asides from this, she also won an NCSA World Series title with the team in 2010. She states that covering sports isn’t just a job: it’s a passion. As a former collegiate athlete, she understands what it takes to be an athlete, and that drive and dedication are reflected in the way she does her job.
Asides from covering collegiate National Champions to High School State Champions, she has also covered the littlest of athletes winning the baseball World Series. She also demonstrated the same attention to any athlete-big or small. Asides from this, she is also happy to be making history and happier to do it at WTXL, as she is the first Sports Director for an over-the-air channel in the state of Florida.
Posey is excited to follow the teams and tell the stories of athletes across the Big Bend and south Georgia, and also states that she can’t wait to get back to her Tallahassee roots. Posey states that she was named the 2018 AP Sportscaster of the Year for small market stations in the state of Florida. Away from work, she enjoys hanging with her dogs Beaux and Brees, being a beach bum, and perfecting her slow-pitch swing.
