Alondra Anaya is an eminent American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working for WWSI-TV as a Weather Forecaster. She joined WWSI-TV in March 2018. There, she anchors live forecasts on weekday mornings at 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon.
Alondra Anaya Education
She received her education at Fontana High School where she graduated in 2014. After graduating from high school, she attended California State University, Chico from 2014 to 2017 where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Broadcasting, Communication, and Media Studies. From 2018 to 2021, she attended Mississippi State University where she did Broadcast and Operational Meteorology.

Also, she is a fill-in anchor for multiple shows and runs 30-minute newscasts alone while producing and presenting the weather as well as anchoring the whole show. Prior to joining WWSI-TV, she worked for one year and three months for Action News Now in two roles. First, as an Assistant Producer from January 2017 to March 2017, she used ENPS to produce stories for a 30-minute newscast featuring local/world news.
Second, as a Weather Anchor/Reporter and Fill-in Anchor from March 2017 to March 2018. In that role, she produced and presented daily forecasts for the Chico-Reading market on-air, five days a week in Spanish. For eleven months, she worked for KHSL-TV in three roles. First, as a Production Assistant Intern from February 2016 to April 2016, second as a Production Assistant from May 2016 to December 2016, and third as an On-Air Personality from August 2016 to December 2016. She is a two-time Emmy Award winner because of her work on the 2019 story “Primera Tormenta Invernal” covering the first winter storm of the season in the Northeast. And again in 2020 for her contribution to the special “Unidos en Tradicion”.
