Alysa Carsley Biography
Alysa Carsley is an American meteorologist working for WSAV as a meteorologist since joining the station in August 2018. Previously, she worked for WOAY in Beckley, West Virginia as a morning meteorologist for years.

Carsley joined the University of South Alabama in 2013 when she finished her high school education. In 2017, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology. During college, she worked for WXVO in Ocean Springs, Mississippi as a weekend meteorologist. There, she recorded forecasts for 10 different news stations which assisted her in learning the mechanisms of weather patterns across the country.

Carsley works for WSAV as a meteorologist. She is thrilled to be back in the heat and humidity along the coast. While vacationing in Disney World in 2004, Hurricane Charley tore through central Florida. This led to the shutdown of Disney World. As a result, her interest in tropical weather was ignited when she was very young. Her experience in college helped her cement her career choices after she understood the work of a meteorologist i.e. to help people.
Carsley secured her first live broadcast job in Oak Hill, West Virginia in July 2017. Aside from the winter cold and snow, she was on the ground broadcasting threatening flooding. Her passion for animals motivated her to host the station’s weekly Adopt-A-Pet beat. Even though she fell in love with forecasting snow, Carsley couldn’t stay in West Virginia for too long. Thus, she moved to Savannah in 2018.
