Angela Ganote is an American Emmy award-winning News Anchor currently working as the Morning News Anchor for FOX 59. Prior to joining the station, she worked at WLFI in Lafayette, WSBT in South Bend, and WCMH in Columbus, Ohio.
Ganote attended Hamilton Southeastern High School where she was able to develop her interest in meteorology, the atmosphere, geography, and natural phenomena. In 1990, she graduated high school after being an excellent student. She is a graduate of Indiana University and had no idea she would go into TV until a chance meeting with fellow news anchor, Anne Marie Tiernan.
Her greatest TV moment is winning 4 Emmys for important stories about the people that really matter. She was able to tell the story of one of her fellow cheerleaders at I.U. She lost an amazing battle with ALS, but before her death, she was an inspiration many will never forget.
Angela loves making people smile, giving people a voice, and seeking justice for those who have been wrongfully accused. Ganote also has two full-time jobs and her favorite is being a mom and wife. She has two teenagers who play travel sports, keeping the family busy at the baseball fields and volleyball courts. During her free time, she loves to spend her day at the beach! One of their family’s favorite spots is Marco Island, Florida. They love to fish and take a boat out on the water.
