Audrey Puente Biography
Audrey Puente is an American meteorologist working for FOX 5 New York as a meteorologist and feature reporter since joining the station in August 2012. Previously, she worked for WWOR My9 as the chief weather anchor where she delivered forecasts for the station’s “My9 News at Ten.”

Puente joined Syracuse University in 1990 when she finished her high school education. In 1993, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication. In 1997, she joined Mississippi State University and in 1999, she graduated with a Master of Science in Geoscience/Broadcast Meteorology.

Before WCBS, she worked for WNBC as a meteorologist delivering weekend reports for “Today in New York. She worked for WAPT-TV as a weekend meteorologist at 5 and 10 p.m. from February 1999 to August 1999.
From May 1998 to February 1999, she was a weekend meteorologist at WXVT-TV 15. Before that, she was a Morning/Noon Meteorologist at WJCL ABC from September 19996 to October 1997. She began her career in New York as a production assistant for WNYW-TV.
Puente is a member of the American Meteorological Society, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the National Weather Association. Since November 2015, she has been a Volunteer at #HashtagLunchbag.
