Avery Cotton Biography

Avery Cotton is an American Morning News Co-Anchor at WFLA. She moved to Tampa from her hometown, Mobile, Alabama, and is excited to still be living along the beautiful Gulf Coast.

While in Mobile she served as Morning Show Anchor/General Assignment Reporter for WKRG-TV, the CBS affiliate which covers the Mobile/Biloxi/Pensacola markets. From breaking investigative stories and elections to hurricanes and sports, Cotton has covered so many interesting, important, emotional, and fun stories. She attended Auburn University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film with a concentration in Political Science.

Apart from the news, Cotton loves working for and helping out the community. One of her favorite organizations she a part of is the Junior League of Tampa Bay. They are able to touch so many lives in the Tampa Bay area with all that the organization does. She is always out and about just taking a walk around town with my dog, Belle, or trying to find a new restaurant to try.
