Betsy Kling is an American chief meteorologist and 5 pm anchor of “What’s News” at WKYC. She has been working with the station since March 2003. Before that, she worked as a weekend meteorologist at WTLV/WJXX.

Kling works for WKYC-TV serving as the chief meteorologist and 5 pm anchor. While at the station she teamed up with Jay Crawford to debut “What’s New”. That hour-long broadcast integrates updates from the 3News Social Center and highlights special reports and features from the experienced team 3News reports. Besty earned her prestigious Emmy award due to the team’s efforts in the News Events provision of the Columbia shuttle Tragedy.
Moreover, she became the first-ever female chief meteorologist for the channel in 2008. Additionally, she won her second Emmy Award for crafts. In addition to that, she was named the Best of Cleveland Weather Forecaster by Cleveland Magazine from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, Kling worked for the WTLV/WJXX-TV as a meteorologist.
