Bill Jones is an American anchor and reporter working at KTVT-TV CBS 11 in Dallas, Fort Worth. He has been working for the station since joining in 2006.

Jones serves as a sportscaster at KTVT-TV (Dallas/Fort Worth). He also works for KTXA-TV (Dallas/Fort Worth) where he also served as a sportscaster since September 2006. In addition to his roles at these two stations, he also works for Dallas Cowboys where he serves as a Dallas Cowboy Television anchor and play-by-play since January 2004. He had also worked for other stations including Fox Sports Net where he served as a studio host and play-by-play broadcaster from October 2001 to December 2007.

Prior to this, he worked at Texas Rangers Baseball Club where he served as a TC play-by-play broadcaster from May 1997 to October 2001. He previously spent about 8 years and 1 month working at KXAS-TV (Dallas/Fort Worth) where he served as a sportscaster from January 1990 to January 1998. Before that, he worked for WOAI-TV(San Antonio) where he served as a sports director from January 1986 to January 1990.

Jones started his journalism career at KAMC-TV ( Lubbock, Texas) where he served as a sports director from 1982 to 1986. Jones went to The University of Oklahoma where he attained his B.A. in Journalism. While there, he was active in societies and activities like KGOU Radio – OU Football/Basketball Play by Play, and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
