Bill Kardas is an American Meteorologist working for WKTV News where he serves the station as a Chief Meteorologist. He also anchors the weather news for Live at Five Newshour, NewsChannel 2 at 6 and 10 on the CW11, and NewsChannel 2 at 11.

Kardas is a proud graduate of SUNY Albany where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Atmospheric Science in the year 2006. He has also completed his Master’s Degree in Geoscience from Mississippi State University. Asides from that, he holds a broadcaster seal from the National Weather Association.

Kardas works for WKTV NewsChannel 2 where he serves the station as a StormTracker 2 Chief Meteorologist and Evening Meteorologist. He has been working with the StormTracker 2 team since the month of January 2006. He also helped launch the Weekend Morning Show.
Since then, he has been able to make a lot of good weather memories, covering tornadoes, large winter storms, and flooding. Asides from this, he also has a passion for teaching. He also visits dozens of schools annually and teaches climatology courses in the fall and spring at Herkimer College.
Kardas is a huge lover of the outdoors, most especially hiking. He has climbed all 30 towers in the Adirondacks and Catskill Park as well as most of the 46 high peaks. Asides from this, he is also a distance runner and has completed in four marathons. In the races, his favorite road race is the Boilermaker. He has been running this race annually since 2006.
