Brandon Spinner Biography
Brandon Spinner is an American meteorologist working for WCPO 9 News serving as a weekend meteorologist. Before joining the station in April 2022, he worked as a morning meteorologist at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama.

Upon completing high school, Spinner joined Valparaiso University in 2008 where he obtained a minor in TV & Radio Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 2012. He was also a member of the Mortar Board – Senior Honors Society, Order of Omega, and Intramural Advisory Council.

Spinner works as a weekend meteorologist at WCPO 9 News in Cincinnati, Ohio. He joined the station in April 2022, after working at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama. There, he served as a morning meteorologist from September 2017 to March 2022. Previously, Brandon spent nearly five years working as a morning meteorologist before later being promoted to chief meteorologist at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls. While at KDLT-TV, he covered a wide range of news starting from ice storms to tornadoes and several thunderstorms.
Prior to coming to Sioux Falls, Brandon worked for KQDS-DT, the FOX 21 affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota. He served as a weekday reporter and weekend meteorologist from May 2012 to March 2013. Spinner started his professional career as a weather intern at WGN-TV in Chicago. He served the station for six months from August 2010 to January 2011. Later on, he joined WIFR TV as a weather intern from May 2011 to August 2011.
Apart from working as a journalist, Brandon also worked for Mondelēz International as a merchandiser and fill-in sales rep. In addition to working as a journalist, he is also involved in various community services where he gives back to the community. There, he creates awareness and helps in fundraising.
