Bret Baier is an American journalist currently working as FOX News Channel’s anchor and executive editor of Special Report with Bret Baier and chief political anchor of the network.

Baier serves as the executive editor of Special Report with Bret Baier (weeknights at 6-7 PM/ET) and anchor at FOX News Channel. In addition to these roles, he also serves as the political anchor of the network. On joining the network, he started off by working in the Atlanta bureau prior to joining the network in Washington, DC. He also served as the moderator of a policy debate between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for The Senate Project. The debate happened in Boston, Massachusetts at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute and was also aired on FNC.

Still, in 2018, he interviewed the President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega and talked about the country’s civil and political unrest. He, later on, interviewed former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comey in April 2018.
