Brian Loftus is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor working with KLAS-TV where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor for the 5, 6, and 11 PM Newscasts since 2018. He joined the station in the year 2009. Prior to being made a morning anchor in 2014 and an evening anchor in 2018, he was working as a Morning Traffic Anchor.

Loftus works with KLAS-TV where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor. He has also previously worked as a teacher and launched his broadcasting career in Los Angeles radio on weekends at KLSX(97.1 FM Talk) in 2002. There, he was serving the station as a Producer/Writer and one of the on-air personalities of “The Film Freak Show.”
Later on, he made a leap from radio to TV broadcasting in 2007 as a Feature Reporter for KMPH-TV(FOX) in Fresno where he was covering every live shot imaginable on the popular, five-hour morning show, “Great Day.” At 8 News Now, he has carried two-well known franchises.
Between 2009 and 2014 he anchored a daily segment titled “What’s Driving You Crazy,” where he helped solve traffic problems troubling viewers. Since the year 2014, he brought viewers “What’s Cool at School,” a weekly segment that highlights positive programs in local schools, He also won the NASB Media Award for Outstanding Education Reporting in 2017 for “What’s Cool at School.”
In the past four years, he has also hosted and anchored the highly rated New Year’s Eve Countdown Show from the Las Vegas Strip which is seen live in 12 cities. He won an Emmy in the year 2017 for Special Events Coverage. Additionally, he also interviewed everyone from local leaders like Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Sheriff Joe Lombardo.
He has also performers and comedians from up and down the Strip and musicians such as Carlos Santana, Guns N’ Roses, and Rascal Flatts. Asides from this, he has also covered the Golen Knights from Washington D.C. in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final.
Away from work, he is often putting together creative, original segments that range from training as a Gondolier at The Venetian and drumming with the Blue Man Group. He also sings and dances with “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert. Asides from that, away from work, he loves biking, reading, swimming, and hiking. He is also an avid fan of Bruce Springsteen, the Chicago Cubs, and Bears.
