She started her career in Victoria, Texas, and most recently covered the Triad community in North Carolina. During her stint there, she covered local and national events like NCAA March Madness, the Panthers Super Bowl run in 2016, Hurricane Florence, the 2016 and 2020 elections, the massacre at Mother Emmanuel AME Church, and the subsequent removal of the Confederate Flag from the South Carolina State House.
