Brittany Ward is an American meteorologist working for WISN 12 News as a meteorologist since joining the station in August 2026. Previously, she worked as a weekend meteorologist and weather producer at DC News Now in Washington, D.C., for 4 years.

Brittany Ward Education

Ward joined Temple University in 2015 after finishing high school. In 2019, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Production. While in college, she was a news reporter for Temple Update.

Ward furthered her studies at Mississippi State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology in 2024.

After graduating from college, Ward kick-started her career at WVNS in Ghent, West Virginia. There, she was a digital producer, reporter, and co-producer. There, she live-streamed the governor and President Trump’s daily COVID-19 briefings on social media. She also helped with preparations for the fifth anniversary of the one-thousand-year flood.

Ward serves as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the American Meteorological Society, and the National Weather Association.
