Brooks Garner Biography
Brooks Garner is an American meteorologist working for FOX 35 serving as a senior meteorologist. He joined the station in June 2021, after previously working as a meteorologist at KDVR-TV in Denver, Colorado.
Brooks Garner Education
Garner enrolled at Bromfield School in 1994 where he graduated in 1998 with a diploma. He then joined Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in video studies and film in 2003. Later on, Brooks attended Mississippi State University where he earned a certificate in meteorology in 2007.

Garner serves as a senior meteorologist at 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. on WOFL-TV, FOX 35 in Orlando, Florida. He has also covered extensive weather events including hurricanes, tropical storms, and tornadoes. In 2017, Brooks reported the destruction of Hurricane Harvey that happened in Louisiana and several Hurricane Sandy. He also opened up FOX 35 Weather Spotters Network where individuals shared their weather observations. For his coverage, he was honored with several awards such as the AP Award, Emmy Award, and Edward R. Murrow Award.
Before joining FOX 35 in June 2021, Garner worked in Denver, Colorado where he served as a meteorologist at KDVR-TV. He served the station for two years from July 2019 to June 2021. Previously, Brook spent nearly six years at KHOU 11 serving as a meteorologist from May 2013 to April 2019.
Prior to working at KHOU 11, Brooks served as a meteorologist at WFLA-TV News Channel 8 / WTTA-TV in Tampa, Florida. He spent three years working for the station from May 2010 to April 2013. Before joining WFLA-TV, Garner worked at WIS-TV as a meteorologist from June 2005 to May 2010. In addition to this, he also worked at WACH FOX as a meteorologist.
Brooks began his broadcasting career at KMEG 14 Siouxland News working as a meteorologist from October 2004 to May 2005. Earlier, Garner served as a weather producer at WHDH-TV in Boston from September 2003 to October 2004. Besides this, he also worked at Self-Employed as a web developer from June 1995 to 2004.
