C.J. LeMaster is an American journalist working for WLBT FOX40 as a co-anchor of WLBT News at 5 p.m. and investigative reporter. He joined the station in December 2013 as a reporter and weekend anchor.

LeMaster has also exposed a prison extortion plot that stretched across the state. Also, he helped shed light on the misappropriation of funds in Hinds County that led to the sentencing of three people and the dismissal of an election commissioner from public office.

His investigation into Jackson’s water disaster led to the dismissal of the whistleblower in the lawsuit and the demotion of its public works director, who would later resign. For a year, he inquired into the likely abuse of taxpayer dollars by Richland’s mayor and Pearl’s police chief through side jobs they held with Rankin County. This led to their resignation from their city and county jobs. Also, it prompted an investigation from the State Auditor’s office.

LeMaster and his team filed four public records criticisms against agencies in the last eight years. They won three of them to assist in ensuring greater transparency for residents in Mississippi. Before arriving in the Capital City, he served WTVA/WLOV in Tupelo, Mississippi for almost a decade in various roles. After graduating from college, WTVA/WLOV hired him as a reporter.
