Cam Derr is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WAFF-TV as a sports anchor and reporter. Before joining WAFF-TV, she worked for KQDS-TV in Duluth, Minnesota where she served as a reporter.
Cam Derr Education
After completing high school, Cam attended Emory& Henry College in August 2017 where she graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Mass Communication. She then furthered her studies at CSB Media Arts Center in July 2021 where she attained a degree in television and digital communication in January 2022. While there, she worked as a television journalist from July 2021 to March 2022.

Derr serves as a sports anchor and reporter at WAFF 48 in Huntsville, Alabama. She has been with the station for more than nine months since she joined in August 2023. Earlier, Cam worked as a reporter at KQDS-TV, the Fox 21 affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota. Later on, she accepted a position as a sports anchor from June 2022 to August 2023.
Before joining KQDS-TV, Derr worked for the Whitetopper where she served as a sports editor from August 2019 to May 2021. While still working as a sports editor, she also worked as a sports writer. During her time there, Cam was in charge of conducting interviews with coaches, managers, and athletes. She served the station from August 2017 to March 2022 where she provided breaking news stories.
She began her career at EHCTV in Emory, VA working as a sports anchor from August 2018 to May 2021. While there, Cam operated a teleprompter, wrote scripts, and interviewed athletes and coaches. Apart from working as a journalist, Derr also served as a summer intern at Novalis® Innovative Flooring in Mooresville, North Carolina. During her tenure there, she produced graphics, researched, and maintained marketing. She also cooperated with social media campaigns from June 2020 to August 2020.
