Barco attended Florida Atlantic University where she studied between 2013 and 2014. There, she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree. Later on, she went on to join Florida State University where she studied between 2015 and 2017. There, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. There, she covered a capital murder trial, back-to-back hurricanes, a presidential election, and stories impacting the nearby military installations.
There, she served the station as a Multimedia Journalist between November 2018 and March 2021. Barco has also previously worked with KREX/KFQX in Grand Junction, Colorado Area. There, she served the station as a Multimedia Journalist between October 2017 and November 2018.
Prior to joining the Nexstar Media Group, she was working with Follett in Tallahassee, Florida Area. There, she was serving the team as a Member between July 2015 and August 2017. She has also previously served the team as a Social Marketing Member between January 2016 and April 2016.
She has also previously served WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida as an Intern. There, she worked between January 2017 and April 2017. Asides from this, she has also worked with Univision Communications Inc. in Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area where she served the team as a Presenter Runner for one month, in July 2016. Camila has a great love for hiking and the mountains which began at the beginning of her journalism career in Grand Junction, Colorado. Away from work, she loves day trips and exploring new places.
