Cannon Secrist is an American meteorologist working for KTVX as a reporter and a core member of the 4Warn Weather team since joining the station in April 2024. Previously, he worked for St. George News as an anchor, producer, writer, editor, and production coordinator.
Cannon Secrist Education
Secrist joined the College of Southern Idaho in August 2017, where he studied until May 2019. In August 2020, he transferred to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication and Media Technologies. While in college, he honed his skills in reporting, writing, producing, and anchoring at the university’s news station.

After graduating from college, Secrist returned to his roots and worked as a production coordinator and on-camera talent at St. George News and Canyon Media. Further, he produced live streams for high school sports and provided play-by-play commentary.
