Carlos Saucedo is an American journalist currently working as a reporter for KTLA 5 News since joining the station in March 2019. He joined the station after working at various news agencies across the state and country for the previous 10 years.
Carlos Saucedo Career
Before making his return to Los Angeles, Saucedo reported for KGO-TV in San Francisco, where he covered some of the major stories in Northern California, including what became the state’s deadliest and most destructive wildfire.
He also reported and anchored news at stations in Sacramento and Fresno. Saucedo began his broadcasting career as a reporter and bureau chief for KWTX in Waco, Texas. During that time, Saucedo reported stories from the largest U.S. military base in the world: Fort Hood.
Saucedo attended and graduated from Montebello High School in 2003. He then went to UCLA and USC. While at UCLA, he received his bachelor’s degree in political science and public affairs. He then attended USC’s Annenberg School of Communications, where he earned his master’s in broadcast journalism. During his free time, Carlos enjoys traveling and photography. He is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
