Carly O’Keefe is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor working for KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau serving as an anchor. Before joining KFVS-TV, she worked as a Bureau Chief and general assignment reporter at KTVO in Ottumwa, Iowa.

O’Keefe attended Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois where she worked as an editor and writer at school newspaper ‘Scratch Paper’. Even after graduating from high school, she continued to follow her passion for writing where she worked for The Clarion in college. Carly joined the University of Denver where she attained a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and English in 2002.
Her passion for journalism emerged at a young age as she used to many asked questions that led her mother to tell her that a journalism career would suit her well. Therefore her curiosity got the better of her and she decided to pursue journalism as her career path. While in college, O’Keefe worked for KCNC News4, the CBS affiliate in Denver, Colorado where she served as an intern.
Carly serves as a noon and afternoon anchor at 4 p.m. on KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She also hosts a popular show called “Does It Work?” where she tests products and invites guests such as the chief who shares some of the recipes with Heartland News at Noon.
O’Keefe began her broadcasting career in 2002 as a Bureau Chief and general assignment reporter at KTVO in Ottumwa, Iowa. During her time there, she won multiple awards including the first-place award in IBNA’s Spot News for her News Photography and excellence in Writing. She was also nominated by the Iowa Broadcast News Association for the Best Feature Reports, Spot News, and General Assignment Reports.
