Caroline Coles Biography

Caroline Coles is an American anchor and reporter working for WPBF-TV. She has been working for the station since joining in January 2020.

Caroline received her master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University’s School of Journalism and her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Howard University. Caroline interned for the Today Show, NBC New York, MSNBC, and TV personality Ann Curry while in college.

Coles serves as the breaking news anchor and traffic reporter for WPBF 25 News Mornings, alongside Erin Guy, Mark Kelly, and Sandra Shaw. She is ecstatic to be a part of South Florida’s most trusted morning team, covering stories and tracking traffic not far from where she and her family currently reside. She was an anchor, reporter, and producer at Salisbury, Maryland’s #1 station, WBOC-TV, before joining the WPBF 25 News Mornings team in January 2020. She immersed herself in the community by uncovering hidden stories while there.

Coles will never forget the impact she had on more than a hundred neglected horses discovered on a farm in deplorable living conditions. Caroline’s coverage helped to save many of those horses and changed the county’s animal laws. Other memorable stories include coverage of state elections and legislation, severe weather, and breaking news.

Coles is very interested in what is going on in her community and around the world. She is a firm believer in the power and reach of local television. Caroline can be found focusing on her health and wellness, worshiping at church, mentoring youth, and, of course, shopping when she isn’t following the latest traffic and breaking news. Caroline is an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and National Association of Black Journalists member.
