As a reporter, she was in charge of editing original stories, delivering news, writing, and shooting videos.
Prior to joining ABC 45 News, Schirm served as an anchor, reporter, and MMJ at KLAF-TV (NBC) / KADN-TV (FOX) from September 2019 to September 2020. During her time there, she reported the news at 12 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm and attended meetings to enhance a good relationship. Cassie also covered a range of news including the serial rapist who was going after the elderly and the plane crash that killed multiple people. Besides this, she also reported several weather events such as tornadoes in South Louisiana and flooding, and Hurricane Laura.
Before working at KLAF-TV, Cassie worked for KTVA 11 News as an MMJ and News reporter from January 2018 to September 2019. Her story about the 7.2 earthquake won her two Emmy Awards for the best reports coverage. Earlier, Schirm served as an MMJ at ABC Fox in Montana from June 2016 to November 2017. She also covered significant topics such as sports, politics, and Yellowstone National Park news. In addition to this, she also reported numerous national news like Montana’s Special Election.
Cassie previously served as a co-director at the Voice of the Razorbacks Documentary in Fayetteville from 2015 to June 2016. For her work, she was nominated for the best reporter and received the NATAS Mid America Emmy Award for her coverage in Fayetteville.
