Cat Taylor is an American journalist who serves as the Chief Meteorologist at Siouxland News. She is a Kansas native who obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Kansas.

Cat Taylor Career

At CBS 14 and FOX 44, Cat is a recognizable face. From 2015 to 2017, she was the Morning Meteorologist on Siouxland News at Sunrise. Cat worked as a meteorologist at KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kansas, before returning to Siouxland.

When Cat was three years old, she witnessed the F5 “Andover Tornado” in 1991, which sparked her interest in meteorology. Since then, she’s been obsessed with weather and protecting people’s lives from natural disasters. During her college years, she pursued storms and witnessed almost 30 tornadoes firsthand.

Cat is active in a variety of things aside from the weather. She mostly uses her Lupus problems to increase awareness of the condition, and she collaborates closely with the Lupus Research Alliance to fund medical research. Cat is enthusiastic about serving the people of Siouxland and is looking forward to doing so.
