Cesar Cornejo Biography

Cesar Cornejo is an American meteorologist working at WMAR-2 News where he serves as a weekday meteorologist. He joined WMAR-2 in April 2022, after previously working at ABC4 Utah (KTVX) where he served as a meteorologist/weather reporter. 

While he was in the Intermountain West, he covered everything including the Rockies. He covered weather events ranging from wildfires to the fifth wettest monsoon season, subsequent heat waves, a historic drought year, and The Greatest Snow on Earth. He previously worked in Pocatello, Idaho where he served as a meteorologist/multimedia journalist for almost two years and he later served as a weekday morning meteorologist.

In addition, one of the outstanding events that he covered was the Labor Day Windstorm that brought wind speeds of about 100 mph to the high deserts of the western Rockies. Cornejo interned a WMAR-2 News after he had graduated from Towson University with a major in Geography with a minor in Meteorology.

Bethesda is his native home and he is happy to be working in the place he called home. In addition, he is a huge weather nerd and during his leisure time, he enjoys hiking, watching football, watching baseball, hockey, and soccer, and exploring the food and drink scene that Charm City has to offer.
